The real estate industry is set to launch a grassroots campaign attacking Labor's policy to curb tax breaks for property investors.
Some of the nation's biggest realty firms will target families, renters and homeowners with a direct mail and email campaign to warn the opposition's negative gearing policy is an "economy killer", News Corp reports.
The campaign will claim 18 million people would be affected by the plan.
Senior Labor frontbencher Anthony Albanese said he was not concerned by the campaign.
"We expect vested interests to go out there and campaign in their own interests; they will be seen for what it is if they do that," he told the Nine Network on Friday.
